AnaVation LLC is seeking Electronic Technicians to support its Mission Critical customer in Stafford, VA.
The Electronics Technician will:
The Electronics Technician (ET) will be responsible for site surveys, installations, and testing of Radio Frequency (RF) equipment and systems throughout the United States. A site survey involves working with individuals from different offices to determine the nature of existing RF business of an area needing Government-system coverage, verifying the congestion in person with a spectrum analyzer, and planning the best approach to effectively work in this environment. Installations include systems that the ET has worked on during the planning phase, as well as those in which they have had little or no prior involvement. The ET will be expected to test various types of RF systems, both in the lab and in the field. This testing applies to individual components of an RF system, as well as to fully functional systems. The ET will run and terminate various RF and Ethernet cable types, both in the lab and during active installations. The ET will take calls from customers—located throughout the country—that may need RF system solutions or may need help trouble-shooting their current systems.
The position requires at least three years of experience as an electronics technician or a similar technical background.
A candidate without any work experience shall have a Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field (engineering, engineering sciences, physics, computer science, chemical or biological sciences, etc.)
The technician shall be able to handle the physical demands associated with installing RF equipment, network equipment, building equipment racks, climbing ladders (and tall structures), and running cables.
The technician shall be flexible with frequent travel on short notice—such travel is domestic, (Continental United States—CONUS) and each assignment can last up to one week.
The ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of radio/antenna systems and information technology systems.
