Senior Developer (Big Data)

AnaVation is looking for a Senior Big Data Developer to support or mission critical customer in Reston, VA.   

The Big Data Developer will design architecture for big data analytic solutions, provide software development including data ingestion, processing pipelines, text extraction and analysis, indexing and search, and data science algorithms. Solutions will be deployed in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS).

Required:

• Active TS/SCI (EOD preferred and required to obtain)
• 6+ years of software development experience
• 4+ years hands-on Java development
• 1+ years hands-on experience with Cloudera Big Data technologies (Hadoop) in a production environment
• 1+ years hands-on experience in AWS environment (C2S experience preferred)
• Fluent with JSON and XML processing
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, and/or Physical Sciences
• Travel to local sites in DC/Chantilly will be required

Desired hands-on experience with:

• NiFi
• Kafka
• ElasticSearch / Kibana
• Accumulo
• Agile/Scrum/JIRA
• Jenkins CI

AWS certifications preferred (Solutions Architect, Developer)
