Overview

AnaVation is looking for talented Reverse Engineers who are passionate about technology and working with cutting edge software and hardware to support our mission critical customer in Lorton, VA.  The ideal candidate appreciates partnering with our customer and a group of engineers to create innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

The engineering effort works to an agile project methodology; the research team builds proof-of-concept tools, the development team takes concepts through production to fully deployable capability.

 

Specializing in software reverse engineering, this is a key role and requires a skill set that is critical to the project. The engineer will be required to discover how various embedded systems communicate, interact, and function. While working closely with suppliers, other government departments, and external partners.

 

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven track record of software reverse engineering.
  • Experience with tools such as IDA Pro is essential.
  • Experience working with IDA Pro.
  • Experience with embedded software systems development.
  • Experience with a broad range of technologies with a focus on information security and reverse engineering.
  • Experience performing vulnerability research to meet information security requirements.
  • Strategic thinking, problem solving, sound judgment.
  • Highly motivated and committed.
  • BA in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Top Secret security clearance

 

Desired:

 

Experience in vulnerability research methodologies, detailed examination of software to understand the inner workings of complex systems, building tools to discover and test system weaknesses, and experience with design and development of tools required to support research will also be extremely valuable.
